Alzheimer’s Society
Join us and help us continue the fight against dementia
Dementia affects over 800,000 people in the UK. Alzheimer’s Society is the UK‘s leading support and research charity for people with dementia, their families and carers. Our vision is of a radically improved world for people with dementia. A world, ultimately, where dementia can be defeated.
We hope to raise over £25,000 from the Oxford Half Marathon which will enable us to provide information and support to people with any form of dementia and their carers through our publications, National Dementia Helpline, website, and more than 2,000 local services. We’ll be able to campaign for a better quality of life for people with dementia and a greater understanding of the condition and will also fund an innovative programme of medical and social research into the cause, cure and prevention of dementia and the care people receive.
