Standard Entries Sold Out for Vitality Oxford Half Marathon! Secure a Charity Place Now!

Organisers of the Vitality Oxford Half Marathon, taking place on Sunday 11th October have confirmed that standard race entries have now sold out! If you were unlucky and missed out on a spot you can still grab a charity space and run for one of the official race partners; National Charity Partner Macmillan Cancer Support, official Local Charity Helen & Douglas House and Laureus Sport for Good Foundation.
Riona Doidge, Regional Challenge Events Programme Manager said: “In Oxfordshire 55 Macmillan professionals work in local clinical environments and the community. They provide vital support so we would like to encourage as many people as possible to sign up to the Vitality Oxford Half Marathon and ensure that no one faces cancer alone. We will be there on the day to give our runners the biggest cheers, the best support and greatest reason to run.”
Bobby Higson, Community & Events Fundraiser at Helen & Douglas House, said: “We rely on local people to help us raise the £5 million it costs every year to run Helen & Douglas House so we are always in need of more runners, and support from the local community. Events like the Vitality Oxford Half Marathon help us raise vital funds that mean we can continue to care for children and young adults with a terminal illness and support their families.”
Jamie Warren, Head of Marketing and Commercial at GO2, said: “We are delighted to see that runners are as excited about the brand new 13.1 mile route as we are. The sell-out event is going to provide the perfect course profile for runners to find a good rhythm and really get into their stride, and also the opportunity for great spectator support for those hoping to catch a glimpse of friends and family taking part in the race – we hope to see you there!”
There are many worthy charities looking for runner support at the Vitality Oxford Half Marathon, taking place on Sunday 11th October; CLIC Sargent, Alzheimer’s Society, Crisis, Vale House, Ronald McDonald House and many more.
Make sure you sign up before charity spaces close at midday on Friday 02nd October 2015.
