Running Club of the Year
Headington RoadRunners
This year our Vitality Oxford Half Marathon running club of the year is Headington RoadRunners.
Headington RoadRunners was formed in Oxford in 1988 by an enthusiastic group of runners. The club is built firmly around its members, their motto being Running Together. This reflects both their style of runs and the friendly social nature of the club. The aim of the club is to encourage and support its members with all their running aims.
If you live in Oxford or you are just visiting, why not go along and run with them? Their membership currently stands at over 300, from 18 to over 70 years of age and from those that are faster and keen on racing to those that are slower and less competitive.
Where they are based
Their club base is the OXSRAD Leisure Centre. The postal address is:
Oxsrad,
Court Place Farm,
Marsh Lane,
Marston, Oxford
OX3 0NQ

Situated on the outskirts of NE Oxford, this allows the club great access to the surrounding countryside of Otmoor as well as to the streets, paths and spires of the historic city of Oxford.
