Race packs: Race packs have been sent out, please be patient as there are thousands to be distributed. Even if your friends or family have received theirs and you registered at the same time - it is likely you will receive the packs at different times.
RACE VILLAGE: OXFORD UNIVERSITY PARKS

THIS IS A 10 MINUTE WALK FROM THE RACE VILLAGE
- IMPORTANT - Train travel from London

Participants travelling from London: Please be advised that the first train from London Paddington on race day will arrive at Oxford train station at 09:12 (if it’s on time!) which will not leave enough time to travel to the Race Village before the start of the race. The journey time from the train station to the Race Village - to enable you to drop off your bag - will be at least 20-30 minutes. Therefore it you arrive on this train - you will miss the race.
We recommend everyone travelling to Oxford on race day, to arrive at the Race Village in Oxford University Parks no later than 08.30am. Please consider travelling to Oxford the day before race day and staying overnight to guarantee that you will be able to start the race at 09:30.
Alternatively, please follow this link for information about night buses from London Victoria to Oxford.
- Where is my Race Pack?

Race packs have been sent out in batches over the course of this week, so please be patient - even if your friends have received theirs! If you have not received a race pack by Friday 7th October, you can pick one up from our very friendly help desk in the Race Village on the weekend. There is no need to contact us in advance - just bring along your race registration and ID and we will issue you a replacement race number and kitbag.
Help desk will be open between 12-4pm on Saturday 8th October and from 7.30am on Sunday 9th October. We strongly advise, if possible, to come to the help desk on Saturday to mimimise any potential delays on race day.

- Can I amend my personal details?

When you registered for the Vitality Oxford Half Marathon you should have received an email from info@attendly.com with information about your user profile. By logging in to this profile you can amend your registration information - just go to Tickets and click on Registration in the blue column.
Any problems, then please use the link below to reset your password and log in to your profile, where you will be able to edit your information.

- Is there a minimum age?

Yes, runners need to be 17 years or older to take part.
- Can I take part in a wheelchair?

Yes, elite wheelchair athletes will start at the front of the field, just before the start of the main race.
Non-elite wheelchair entrants will start at the rear of the field. - When do entries close?

All entries to the race are now closed. There are no entries on the day.

- Will we be running on cobbles near Radcliffe Square?

No. Tracking will be laid on this part of the course!
- What’s the course profile?

We’d call it fast and flat. A perfect course for beginners or if you’re looking to set a new PB!
- Is the course UKA measured?
-
Yes, the course is measured and certified as accurate to 13.1 miles UKA Standard.
- Will there be a photographer there on the day?
-
There will be several photographers on the course, snapping away, so make sure you give them a BIG thumbs up and a smile!
We will email a link to your official race photographs in the days after the event for you to purchase. - Can I carry a collection bucket with me on the course?

Unfortunately we cannot permit runners or spectators to carry collection buckets.
- Can I raise money for my chosen charity?

Yes of course. Just contact them directly for a fundraising pack.
- Can I listen to music?

While we understand that a lot of runners prefer to train with headphones, we encourage you not to use them on the day.
This is to ensure any medical alerts or Marshals’ instructions can be heard. - Can I buy race merchandise?

- Can I run in fancy dress?

Yes, as long as this is not obstructive to other runners. Please contact us if you have any questions or queries.
- Is there a cut off time for runners?

Yes - any runners still on the course after 3.5 hours (13.00hrs) will be moved onto the pavement if they wish to continue.
- What time does the race start?
-
The race starts from Broad Street in Oxford City Centre at 09.30am.
Please note the walk to the start pens from the Race Village (in Oxford University Parks) will take roughly 10 minutes, so please ensure you leave plenty of time to get into position.We recommend arriving at the Race Village no later than 08.30am on race day.
- Will there be pacers?

Thank you to our pacers who will be wearing bright blue flag backpacks showing their target times on race day:
1hr30, 1hr40, 1hr45, 1hr50, 2hr, 2hr10, 2hr15, 2hr30+
The pacers will start in the pens as stated above. You will notice that your race number also features a letter which corresponds with the estimated finish time you indicated when you registered. Start pens range from A-I and will be marked clearly on your race number.
- Can I sign up on race day?

No, we cannot accept any entries on race day.
The Race
- Can I transfer my entry to someone else?
-
No, you must not under any circumstances give your race number to anyone else.
Among other potential problems, doing so may cause problems of identification for the event medical services in the case of any accident or injury. - Can I have a refund or defer to 2017?

REFUNDS
We operate a 7-day cooling off period. You can cancel your place provided we receive written notice (letter or email) of cancellation within 7 days of payment of the entry fee.
Cancellation during this 7 day period will result in a full refund.After this period we operate the following policy:
- 121 days + before the Event: you will be offered a partial refund or credit to be used against entry into the same event in 2016
- 61 – 120 days before the Event: no refund will be offered. However, you may receive a partial credit to be used against entry into the same event in 2016
- 31 – 60 days before the Event: no refund or credit will be offered, only a guaranteed place into the same event in 2017
DEFERRING YOUR ENTRY
In line with our Terms and Conditions, we cannot defer your entry to next year.Why not volunteer?
If you find you cannot run on race day, why not volunteer? We would then offer you a FREE place for next year’s event!
